Repeat Prescriptions

Calling all students on prescription medication... Overview.jpg

Do not leave your repeat prescription request till the last minute!!!

If you request a repeat prescription when you have run out of your medication, we cannot guarantee that you will get a repeat the next day. You may also need a check up, and we do not always have appointments available in the same week, let alone the next day. Make sure you request your repeat prescription in plenty of time , either by popping into the surgery in person or using the online repeat prescription service. For your own safety we do not take prescription requests by telephone.

For those on the contraceptive pill...

If you need more of the pill, make sure you book an appointment to see the nurse when you reach your last packet, not your last few pills! It is your responsibility to make sure that you don't run out!

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow 48 hours for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. They will be ready for collection after 3pm. Also note that we are changing our prescriptions to 28 days.
